Thoughts of grey tombstone

Wonderful blog post and image of Silas’s and i’s latest creations.

Be silent in that solitude,
Which is not loneliness- for then
The spirits of the dead, who stood
In life before thee, are again
In death around thee, and their will
Shall overshadow thee; be still.

The fog dims the lights and even the sounds of your footsteps on the cobblestone. It’s hard not to give in to the dread in the air, not to clutch your skirts extra hard, not to constantly look over your shoulder at every turn. Was that a flashing lamp at the corner of your eye? Or perhaps… something else, following your breath, clinging to your hat, feeding off your growing fear?

The night, though clear, shall frown,
And the stars shall not look down
From their high thrones in the Heaven
With light like hope to mortals given,
But their red orbs, without beam,
To thy weariness shall seem

all good gifts…

A nice blog post about some of the gifts you can find at Silas and I’s exhibit in SLB18.

Virtual Veyot

I have been using the destination guide to hop around at SL18B, the Secondlife Birthday Celebration. Today, these are my two favorites, one with some gifts, and one with a nice photo pose.

Silas Merlin has a story to tell at The Lost Refuge, and the pathway is well marked. Luckily, the landmark puts you right where the storybook is found.

And, very close by, this sign shows the way.

The things are easy to find and the scenery is good. My favorite gift is the fairy. Which one will be your favorite?

And, for photographers, there is a great pose at Circle of Life by Oxygen. A short climb up the mountain, and you are there. I didn’t have shared experiences or advanced lighting turned on, but I felt powerful holding up baby Simba in the pose.

“The piercing radiant moon,
The storming of poor June,
All the life running through her hair…”

As the moon slowly dances above, your spirit drifts away in the grim embrace of my webs. Soon you will be yet another youth who never came back, so that I can remain alive another night, slave of the life force that I must forever consume to survive.

JorōgumoRavishing beauty or dreadful spider demon, Jorōgumo lays her webs to lure her next prey with her Promise of Sanctuary… ironic name for this splendid gown created by Silvan Moon. Meticulous craft, luxurious fabrics, and exquisite fit, this gown is ready to lure you into Jorōgumo’s trap.

Her alluring face is the new Emmy skin by 7 Deadly S{k}ins, an exclusive for Designer Showcase, available in several skin tones and also browless versions.

Silas Merlin at LEA 14

A MUST SEE!

Inara Pey: Living in a Modemworld

Silas Merlin LEA 14

“There are experiments and exhibits inside buildings,” Artist and sculptor Silas Merlin says of his installation at LEA 14. “It’s a collection of the things I happen to be building this semester, so there’s no specific theme; but I do have LEA in mind whatever I do, so I think everything is in theme in that respect.”

It’s certainly an intriguing environment, bringing together Silas’ gift for 3D sculpture and his pastel artwork in a place where exploration is encouraged – indeed required, if one is to see everything. It is also a place which includes certain nods to others here and there, be they intentional or otherwise; with the intentional ones offered a little tongue-in-cheek and without rancour.

The landing point to the installation is located in a tall tower sitting just offshore to the rest of the build. This…

SIN writes:

Hey Guys & Ghouls,

Solas & I are proud to present a fun Trick or Treat Experience (great in both VR & Desktop):

YOUR LIMO AWAITS -> https://atlas.sansar.com/experiences/sin/trick-or-treat

As the evening draws near and the light disappears,

Take to the street with anticipation of fear,

Go door to door asking for delights,

Not knowing the dangers that dwell in the night.
